Beef : Brew Burgers

Here is a simple recipe to try and enjoy for summer parties and picnics. Total preparation and cooking time is about 30 minutes.
You'll need...
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
4 slices sweet onion (1/2 inch thick)
Seasonings to taste: Salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc
4 slices Swiss or other favorite cheese
4 hamburger or Kaiser rolls, split --- Lettuce leaves


"Brew Sauce"
1/2 cup beer --- 1/2 cup prepared steak sauce
Combine sauce ingredients in glass microwave dish. Cover and microwave on high about 1 to 1-1/2 minutes.

Shape ground beef into four 3/4-inch thick patties. Place patties on center of grid over medium ash-covered coals: arrange onion around patties. Grill, uncovered, 13 to 15 minutes to medium (160 degree doneness), or until patties are no longer pink in center and juices run clear. Turn patties and onion slices occasionally. About two minutes before hamburger patties are done, brush generously with brew sauce: then top with cheese. Place burger patties on lettuce-lined buns---top with onion and more brew sauce. ENJOY!
